Dr. Dunbar

Dr. Dunbar

Mark R. Dunbar MD, a native Atlantan, attended Emory University undergraduate School and Medical School. He completed his medical internship at Framingham Union Hospital in Massachusetts before returning to Atlanta to complete his Ophthalmology Residency at the Emory/Grady Residency Program in 1984. At that time he opened his private Practice in Roswell Georgia and a year later opened a second office in Cumming. He is board certified in Ophthalmology and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Georgia Society of Ophthalmology, AMA, and various medical groups.

Dr. Dunbar lives with his wife Glenda and has 2 daughters. His interests include swimming, tennis, cycling, and travel.

Dr. Dunbar retired July 15th, 2016.

Dr. Hewitt

Dr. Hewitt

Dr. Hewitt is a board-certified ophthalmologist who grew up in Florida. She completed medical school at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where she served as president of the medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha.

After finishing her internship at Jackson Memorial Hospital, she moved to Atlanta for a residency in ophthalmology at the Emory University School of Medicine. There, she received excellent training in treating eye conditions such as cataracts, corneal disease, glaucoma, and retinal disease. In addition, she completed an additional year of specialized training in corneal diseases such as keratoconus, corneal dystrophies and infections, as well as extensive training in refractive surgeries such as LASIK and PRK/surface ablation.

She has now been serving the patients in the Roswell, Alpharetta and Cumming areas for nearly a decade. She specializes in the following areas:

  • Cataracts and cataract/lens implant surgeries, including utilization of advanced technology lenses such as toric (for astigmatism), multifocal (Restor, Tecnis Multifocal) and Crystalens, as well as lens implants for monovision
  • LASIK and PRK/surface ablation surgery
  • Treatment of corneal conditions such as keratoconus, corneal dystrophies, irregular and thin corneas, and dry eyes
  • Pterygium surgery
  • Glaucoma, including glaucoma laser surgery
  • Vitreoretinal diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and floaters

In her free time, Dr. Hewitt enjoys spending time with her family, as well as traveling, reading, exercising, and attending concerts.

Dr. Pare’

Dr. Pare'

Dr. Pare' was born in Columbus, Georgia and grew up in Stuart, Florida. After graduating from Auburn University with a B.S. in Biology, he attended Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. He Interned at the Emory University affiliated hospitals before his residency in Ophthalmology at Emory University School of Medicine. In his final year of residency, Dr. Pare' served as the Chief Resident of Ophthalmology.

He joined Dr. Dunbar at the North Fulton Eye Center in 1993, and helped develop both the Roswell and Cumming locations. He served as the Section Chief of Ophthalmology for the North Fulton Regional Hospital for several years and is currently on staff at the Northside Forsyth Hospital. His practice is focused on cataract and lens implants surgery although he continues to see a growing number of general ophthalmology patients in his daily practice.

Dr. Pare' was board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology in 1996 and successfully completed the recertification process for the Board in 2006. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, The American Society of Cataract and Refraction Surgeons and the Medical Association of Georgia.

Dr. Pare' lives in Atlanta with his wife and two daughters, in his spare time he enjoys fishing, hunting and travel.

Dr. Rayudu

We are pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Parvathi Rayudu
to North Fulton Eye & Cumming Eye Clinic.

A native to Memphis, Tennessee and a graduate of the University of Missouri in Kansas City, Dr. Rayudu completed her internship at Exempla Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver followed by a residency in Ophthalmology at the Saint Louis University Eye Institute.

New to Atlanta, Dr. Rayudu is excited to join Drs. Pare and Hewitt at North Fulton Eye Center & Cumming Eye Clinic given the atmosphere of dedication to patient care.

Dr. Rayudu is accepting patients with all general eye conditions including but not limited to: cataracts, corneal disease, dry eye, glaucoma, Vitreous Retinal disease, diabetic eye disease, ocular emergencies, and floaters.

Dr. Rayudu is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Medical Association, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
